Miss Adrianna Barker -NaturgrlAuthor's Note: I wrote this for an English 11 assignment; we were to write a short story based off of one of Hawthorne's journal entries. It is set in the early 19th century in England. Please enjoy! An index is at the end to help explain some terms you may not know.

“Must the Sun shine so early?” said Mrs. Barker. The dining room was lit by a gray light dusting the windows.

Once a dragon has found a mate with whom they wish to spend the rest of their lives with then and only then will they begin to produce offspring. Despite being warm-blooded creatures, dragons lay eggs which are called nests. A nest usually contains anywhere from two to six eggs. The number of nests a mated dragon couple can have depends entirely on the health of both dragons. Some dragons have several hundreds of children while others hardly ever have more then a few.  In Kai’s nest there had been three eggs and of them he had been the first to hatch. MeteoricIndigo - Reflects SnowThe moon reflects the snow,   
a beacon for my mind and will.   
My dappled dotted shadow glitters  as it withers with the sunset somewhere gone.   
The clouds above remind me of the ground I’m walking on.  I peer up to see myself gazing down at me.  Wandering and wondering with what constancy I’ll remain in this dim reality.

In this club, the main purpose is not to show off your work, but to improve it. (Although you WILL technically be showing your work here if you choose to submit anything.) This is a safe environment where you can post that epic tale you've been writing on and off for ages but haven't yet shown it to anyone. Here, you will find others can help you improve and learn. Because we all make mistakes sometimes, we all need each other's help in order to learn.

So here you can post your work. Others will see it, and upon your consent, they will critique viciously. I mean this in the best way possible.

How to Join
